0205 — Optometric Educators’ Exchange

Lecturer(s):

Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
[see other Friday courses]
Education for the Doctor of Optometry — OD Education

Attention optometric faculty:
Join your colleagues in education at the fifth-annual Optometric Educators’ Exchange (OEE) on Friday, June 18, at Optometry’s Meeting®! Take advantage of another slate of solid topics and speakers to help you elevate your teaching. You’ll also have quality time to network with faculty colleagues in small-group settings conducive to collegial discussion and information-sharing.

In its fifth year under the direction of the AOA Faculty Relations Committee, this program has been carefully developed by optometric faculty for optometric faculty. Bring your passion for your career and profession; attend the OEE to network with colleagues, share ideas, and take home concepts that you can quickly put to work in the classroom or clinic.

The OEE is structured to allow you to attend all day or just part of the day, depending on your schedule. At the roundtable sessions, share ideas; exchange syllabi, class materials, and business cards; and network with faculty who teach similar courses. The schedule is designed to complement the popular Poster Session, so you can easily attend both events. The fee for this year’s OEE remains the same great value: $25 for all or part of the day, including continental breakfast and box lunch.

Mark your calendars now for Friday, June 18, from 8:00am – 4:00pm and register for function 0205.

Now in its fifth year, the popular Optometric Educators’ Exchange (OEE) features an exciting slate of speakers and topics. The OEE begins with breakfast and a morning keynote address. The keynote is followed by two breakout sessions with time to network at roundtables. After the furnished lunch at noon, participants will hear the second keynote address, followed by a repeat of both morning breakouts. The day concludes with another hour of networking at roundtables. This flexible format allows educators to attend as many of the lectures as possible throughout the day. Yet, the fee for the OEE remains a bargain at $25 for all or part of the day.
