KiddieCorp Babysitting Services

You asked for it — we listened! You want to bring the whole family to Orlando while experiencing all Optometry’s Meeting® has to offer? We have a great way to do both…KiddieCorp. KiddieCorp is a babysitting service that accepts children 6 months to 12 years in age. KiddieCorp will have one program for children 6 months – 3 years (JRD1) and a second program for children 4 – 12 years (JRD2) at the Gaylord Palms® during Optometry’s Meeting®.

The charge is $9 per hour, per child; the minimum amount of time required to use this service is two consecutive hours.

About KiddieCorp:

KiddieCorp team members are uniformed, qualified, screened, bonded, and experienced employees who have completed the KiddieCorp training program. This intensive screening and training process ensures that KiddieCorp clients receive the highest-quality care and consistency. The following procedures are in place for the safety and security of your child(ren).

  • Photo security procedure for check-in and check-out of children.
  • Children and their parents are always escorted by team members when entering or leaving the children’s program area for any reason.
  • Parents are allowed to visit at any time.
  • Unauthorized adults are not allowed in the area.
  • All managers are trained to handle emergencies and carry an emergency preparedness manual with them at all times.
  • All managers are CPR/First Aid certified.
  • KiddieCorp’s $5-million liability policy is in effect for all KiddieCorp programs.

The AOA will not be held liable for any accidents/incidents that may occur while children are in the KiddieCorp program.

On-site managers carry cell phones so they can act quickly and don’t have to rely on land lines to get critical calls through in case of an emergency.

Register your child as a Junior Delegate using the following registration categories: JRD1 (6 months – 3 years) or JRD2 (4-12 years).

Attention Parents!
By permitting your child(ren) to participate in the event that is Optometry’s Meeting®, you agree the AOA and its respective venues — Gaylord Palms® Resort & Convention Center and Orlando World Center Marriott — will not be held liable for any accidents/incidents that may occur while your child(ren) attend the meeting. All children are expected to be accompanied by an adult at all Optometry’s Meeting® functions.
