Optometry's Meeting is an opportunity for doctors of optometry, paraoptometrics and students to make a positive impact on their career and their profession:
ADVOCATE. Students and doctors from around the country come together on Capitol Hill for an exclusive opening event in support of optometry.
EDUCATE. Participate in five days of the industry's leading continuing education and professional development. Earn CE in the exhibit hall and on a boat on the Potomac River!
CELEBRATE! Rejoice with colleagues at a '90s themed Celebration of Optometry and celebrate 2020, the year of the in-person eye exam!
With the meeting still weeks away, the AOA Health Policy Institute (HPI) is closely monitoring developments and actively participating in U.S. public health discussions regarding COVID-19 to ensure that all members understand the risks associated with this outbreak and have the latest information available for continued patient care. Our top priority remains the health and safety of all Optometry’s Meeting attendees, including, members, exhibitors, staff and industry partners. We will continue to monitor the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) response to and guidance about the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The AOA will follow the guidance of the CDC and the State of Maryland about managing events accordingly. As this is an evolving situation, doctors, staff and students should monitor updates from the CDC and WHO. The AOA will relay timely and relevant information as it’s reported.
