Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will all registrants be refunded?
A: Yes. All Optometry's Meeting® registration fees will be refunded without penalty. This will include any additional costs paid for workshops and/or the Optometry Cares 5K Run/Walk.

Q: How will my registration be cancelled? Do I have to do anything?
A: All Optometry's Meeting and Optometry Cares 5K Run/Walk registrations will be cancelled on the attendee's behalf and, if applicable, they will be refunded the fees in the same method they were made. For example, if one paid via credit card, their credit card will be refunded and a confirmation email will be sent.

Q: I made a hotel reservation through AOA/Optometry's Meeting Room Block. Do I need to cancel this reservation?
A: A: All hotel reservations booked within Optometry's Meeting's block will be canceled on the attendee's behalf. The credit card used to secure the reservation was only to hold the reservation and not charged, therefore a refund will not be necessary. In the next ten business days, you will receive confirmation of your meeting registration cancellation and that your refund is being processed. This credit may take a week or more to show on your account depending on your banking institution.

Q: If I booked a hotel outside of the Optometry's Meeting block, how can I get a refund?
A: Optometry's Meeting is not responsible for reservations made outside of our official hotel block.  You will need to contact the hotel directly to cancel your reservation. Many hotels have cancellation policies in place.
