In my painting, the "silent thief of sight" lies within a narrowing tunnel of vasculature, increasing pressure in an eye with a glaucomatous optic nerve.

This impressionistic retina is a tribute to my grandmother who went blind from glaucoma. Every day she still put on her pearls and drank tea in her garden.

3rd place: Vivian Yao, University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry
